The 2023 season of Britain's Got Talent has been won by
Norwegian comedian Viggo Venn. The comedian earned himself a position on the
cast of the Royal Variety Performance in addition to winning the £250,000 first
prize.
The 33-year-old kept the crowds laughing the entire time
with his clever gags. Rose petals were tossed over the duo before the entire
audience dove into high vis for the grand final, which the comic made Simon
Cowell wear.
The judge responded, "You've captivated the nation,
they love you." Bruno Tonioli shared the same impressions. I think your
physical comedy is world-class, and you've made one of Mr. Bean's most enduring
characters, he remarked. At least you didn't make me seem foolish tonight,
Simon Cowell continued. I will be honest: I have never in my life encountered
somebody as amazing as you.
The 13-year-old dancer Lilliana Clifton and the 14-year-old
magician Cillian O'Connor finished second and third, respectively, almost
missing winning the competition.
The night was full of surprises as previous winner Susan
Boyle made an appearance to sing her 2009 audition song “I Dreamed A Dream”
from Les Miserables along with the cast of the West End production. After the
performance, Boyle said: “It feels great (to be here). It’s extra special for
me, last April I suffered a minor stroke and I fought to be back on stage and I
have done it.”
