  • The songs may be found on the latest EP by the country singer, "Rolling Up the Welcome Mat."
  • On March 4, Kelsea Ballerini sang two tearjerking songs from her new EP, Rolled Up the Welcome Mat, during her Saturday Night Live debut.

The 29-year-old country singer confidently took the Studio 8H stage for her first musical performance of the night to deliver an emotional rendition of "Blindsided," a brand-new song that was inspired by her recent divorce from singer-songwriter Morgan Evans.

The three-time Grammy nominee stood in front of a huge white screen with a full band, dressed in a black jumpsuit with zebra print. The dancer was silhouetted and appeared to be trapped.

Kelsea Ballerini added a new line at the conclusion of the song that some have theorized is in response to her ex-post-divorce husband's single "Over For You."

"Now you're singing it out loud on the radio like you're the only heart that breaks/ You would've looked everywhere? Sure, OK," she sing.

In a later performance of "Penthouse," Ballerini made a triumphant comeback. She performed the plodding piece in front of a huge white piano this time while donning a lovely elegant white dress.

We performed the role five times, but, baby, we were never present on the weekends.

Travis Kelce, a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, made his debut on the venerable NBC sketch comedy program Saturday's SNL edition, which he also hosted.

In her most recent six-song EP, Rolling Up the Welcome Mat, which was released on Valentine's Day, Ballerini, who announced her divorce from Evans in August 2022, addressed the breakdown of her marriage.

The few songs on the album are filled with information on the couple's failing marriage and the emotional havoc it left in its wake. The EP came with a 20-minute short movie.

Following Ballerini's album Subject to Change from 2022, which examines her recent personal development, is Rolling Up the Welcoming Mat.
