Erin Darke and Daniel Radcliffe welcomed their first child together.

Actress Erin Darke, Daniel Radcliffe's longtime companion, and their first child were recently parents.

Following the publication of pictures of the pair using a stroller in New York earlier this week in the Daily Mail, Radcliffe's representative Scott Boute informed CNN on Wednesday that the couple had indeed given birth.

The baby's gender and birthdate have not been made public.

The "Harry Potter" actress and Darke, 38, first connected while filming the drama "Kill Your Darlings" in 2013, and have been dating ever since. In 2016, Darke and Radcliffe collaborated once more on the dramedy "Don't Think Twice," and more recently, Darke made many appearances in Radcliffe's TBS comedy series "Miracle Workers." Last year, Radcliffe said to Newsweek in advertising his involvement in "Weird: The Al Yankovic Story" that he would like for his children to visit "wonderful" film sets, but without the limelight.

If and when they come into being, I want my children.I would absolutely love for children to be around film sets," he added, adding that "film sets are great places," but that "the fame part of it... should be avoided at all costs."

The fictitious character of Harry Potter, an orphaned young wizard created by J.K. Rowling, was cast when Radcliffe, now 33, was only 12 years old. With the 2001 release of "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone," the first in what would eventually become a successful eight-movie franchise, he gained instant notoriety.
