No survivors were found at the plane crash site that violated Washington airspace yesterday.
US authorities had announced that no survivors have been found at the site of the Cessna plane crash that violated the capital's airspace yesterday, prompting military fighter jets to attempt to intercept it before it crashed in Virginia.
Virginia state police revealed that "the first responders arrived at the site on Sunday evening, about four hours after government and local authorities began searching by air and ground for the crashed plane," adding that they have suspended the search, and will determine the identity of the plane's passengers when information becomes available.
Earlier, US authorities announced that US Air Force fighter
jets had chased a light plane after it violated Washington's airspace and
crashed in southwest Virginia. US media outlets have reported that the plane that crashed
after violating Washington's airspace and being chased by American fighter jets
was carrying four people. The Capitol complex was briefly put on high alert until the
plane left the area.
